Carlye Lauff is a design researcher with expertise in engineering and product design, human-centered design, design ethnography, mixed-methods research, and design theory and methods. Her passion lies within the product development process, both understanding design practices and developing tools and methods for designers to use.

Lauff's dissertation research studies the role and impact of prototypes on design teams in industry. She enjoys working as a member of interdisciplinary teams, leveraging expertise from seemingly different fields to solve complex problems.
