David Burlinson
Information Science

David Burlinson earned a PhD in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has spent the past nineÌýyears expanding hisÌýlove of computer science and computational thinking. HisÌýfocus has been on research related to visual encoding, visualization and visual analytics, environmental impact, and pedagogically-sound computer science education. He hasÌýa particular affinity for web application design and responsive, interactive interfaces and visualizationsÌýand hasÌýself-taught up and down the full stack. HisÌýfavorite language is JavaScript.ÌýIn his "spare time,"ÌýheÌýenjoys honing hisÌýcooking skills and playing real-time strategy games.
