Jeeeun Kim is听a fourth-year PhD student at the听Sikuli Lab听and the听Craft Tech Lab.听

While seeking the gap between the physical and the real world, Kim hopes to seamlessly interpolate an aperture from conceptual design thinking to virtual models to physical artifacts. She is developing an听algorithm that assigns intelligence to the fabrication machine听to open a communication channel with humans as designers. Kim also implements novel interfaces to provide designers fluid fabrication experiences that applies their emerging design mind and听unpredictable organic input over time,听pushing the lower/upper boundaries of fabrication and听incrementally augmenting the physical world we live in.
