The Center for Asian Studies is pleased to feature the following gradute program:

The Department of History at the ĄÖ²„“«Ć½ Boulder isĀ accepting applications for its Ph.D. program in Asian History. The Ph.D.Ā program, which was inaugurated in 2011, encourages specializations in theĀ histories of early modern or modern East Asia or South Asia, as well asĀ in-depth consideration of global and thematic approaches to the historiesĀ of Asia as a region. This program complements the departmentā€™s otherĀ graduate offerings in Asian History: the M.A. in Asian History, and DualĀ M.A. programs with the Departments of Asian Languages and CivilizationsĀ and Religious Studies.

The graduate faculty in Asian History at the ĄÖ²„“«Ć½,Ā Boulder are:Ā Lucy Chester (Modern South Asia/British colonialism), Sanjay GautamĀ (Medieval/early modern India), Kwangmin Kim (Late Imperial China), MiriamĀ Kingsberg (Modern Japan), Sungyun Lim (Modern Korea and Japan), MithiĀ Mukherjee (Modern India/British Empire in India), William Wei (ModernĀ China/Asian American), Timothy B. Weston (Modern China), Marcia YonemotoĀ (Early Modern Japan).
