FLAS (Foreign Language & Area Studies) Fellowship Information Session

FLAS fellowships administered by the Center for Asian Studies (CAS) are awarded competitively to graduate students studying modern Asian languages and related area studies. The U.S. Department of Education funds and oversees these awards.
2013-2014 Academic Year Graduate Fellowship
- Tuition: up to $18,000 of tuition and fees ($9,000 per semester)
- Stipend: FLAS will provide a stipend up to $15,000 ($7,500 per semester)
2013 Summer Graduate Fellowship
- Tuition: up to $5,000 of tuition and fees
- Stipend: FLAS will provide a stipend up to $2,500
