Are you looking for one last class to complete your schedule? Did something happen to prevent you from taking one of your courses? Check out our courses page. There you will find all of the Asia-related courses offered in Spring 2014 as well as during past semesters.

Of particular interest is the new Hindi class offered through the Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations, HIND 3851 Devotional Literature in South Asia. Topics will include the bhakti poetry of Kabir, Mirabai, and Surdas, the Ramayana of Tulsidas, the hymns of the Sikh Gurus, Sufi romances, Shi'i elegies, and Urdu ghazals. These works will be considered in their original historical contexts, and in relation to their role in modern South Asian literature and film. This course will be taught in English.

Also, check this page regularly as we will add courses as we hear about them and update the course lists for Summer and Fall 2014.

Best of luck this semester!
