The Center for Asian Studies is pleased to announce a new internship for undergraduate students at CU. The Jaipur Literature Festival Boulder is seeking an Executive Assistant Intern to help organize next year's Boulder festival. As the largest FREE literary festival on earth, the Jaipur Literature Festival brings together some of the greatest thinkers and writers from across South Asia and the world. The JLF Boulder group seeks a motivated, energetic intern 7 hrs. a week assisting with outreach, programming, and fundraising projects toward producing the Festival in Boulder September 18, 19, 20, 2015. This is a wonderful learning opportunity in event production, non-profit management, fundraising, working with diverse communities, outreach, and cultural/educational programming.

7 hours a week average beginning the first week of February through Spring Semester 2015, and the student will receive 2 credits in Asian Studies for this internship.

Some of the duties include:

  • Working closely with fundraising projects and contacts
  • Corporate sponsorships, training and help with creating sponsorship packages and assistance in meeting with corporate representatives
  • Grant writing training and assistance
  • Written and telephone communications with potential sponsors and donors
  • Making contacts and maintaining contacts in regard to potential financial support
  • Working with outreach to underserved communities in Boulder and Denver
  • Working with the BVSD and others, facilitating program within the schools in relation to helping to organize special literacy projects in conjunction with JLF

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ must: 

  • Have 30 credits of college-level coursework completed before the start of the internship
  • Have a minimum 2.00 GPA
  • Be a self-starter
  • Be responsible and reliable
  • Able to work independently
