Kaitlyn Bishay and Santiago Ram铆rez N煤帽ez, graduate students specializing in hydrology water resources and environmental fluid mechanics at the 乐播传媒 Boulder, participated听on a student panel during听the 12th annual Upper Colorado River 2023 Water听Forum on听Oct. 30,听2023.听The event was hosted by the Hutchins Water Center at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, and the panel was introduced by John Marshall, the university's president.听听
This year鈥檚 forum theme, "Reshaping the River: Reimagining Water Use & Management in the Upper Colorado River Basin,"听included topics such as innovative agricultural water management practices, resilient riverscapes, unpacking and understanding diminishing water supplies, reauthorization of recovery programs听as well as听updates from state agencies and networking events.听
The forum听seeks to promote dialogue between scholars, policymakers听and water users on how to address听the听water challenges facing听the听Upper Colorado River Basin.听 The听audience was听comprised of water and river professionals, scholars and stakeholders from a wide spectrum of disciplines with a shared interest in听the听Upper Colorado River Basin.
