CU Boulder’s undergraduate chemical engineering program has been by U.S. News and World Report.

The program was No. 11 among public institutions whose highest degree is a doctorate.

The rankings are an improvement from the previous year, when CU’s undergraduate chemical engineering program was ranked No. 12 among public universities and No. 18 overall.

The updated rankings, released Sept. 11, 2017, are based on academic peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.

CU Boulder’s undergraduate engineering program as a whole came in No. 16 among public institutions and No. 30 overall.

In other publications, the chemical engineering program recently ranked No. 11 in world, , commonly known as the “Shanghai Ranking.” On that list, the program was seventh among U.S. universities and third among U.S. public universities.
