At the Lippin Group, a brand communications firm,ÌýPamela Ruben Golum (Comm)Ìýhas managed notable client accounts including Dick Wolf and hisÌýLaw & OrderÌýfranchise, various projects for the Disney Channel and the Emmy Awards. Previously, Pam worked as a journalist with Fairchild Publications and at radio station KBOL in Boulder. She and husband, Rob, live in Los Angeles, California, with their two daughters, Caroline and Jennifer.

For more than 40 years,ÌýBill LernerÌý(Comm)Ìýhas helped grow and develop iPark, his family’s parking garage business (previously known as Imperial Parking Systems), into New York’s largest garage and parking facilities operator. Bill also started the organization Billy4Kids to provide shoes for underprivileged children around the world.Ìý

Eric Belcher (Advert) is an entrepreneurial leader who has worked at USA Today, 20th Century Fox and ABC Television. He has served as CEO of Cast & Crew Entertainment Services, of which he is now vice chair, and recently founded 5430 Alliance, which supports CU Boulder student-athletes navigating NIL.

John Be Lane (Jour) recently published The Future Lies, a postdystopian romantic thriller that asks what you would do if you found out the artificial intelligence that ran everything was lazy, dishonest and not as bright as it seemed.

Ray Ring (Jour) retired from a 35-year career in journalism to focus on writing novels. He previously wrote Arizona Kiss, a noir piece about a journalist exposing a corrupt judge. His upcoming, self published novel Montana Reckoning will explore racism in one of the least diverse states.

Martin Streim (Comm’76; MComm) retired in 2017 after a 35-year career in corporate human resources where he focused on organizational and leadership development. Before retiring, he spent several years as the director of ethics and business conduct in his employer’s office of legal counsel. He and his wife, Christie, live in Boulder.

Michael Getto (Jour) lived and worked in 15 countries––primarily in the former Soviet Union––for over 16 years while working for the United States Agency for International Development, the World Bank, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Global Affairs Canada and UK Aid Direct. He now lives in California, where he works for the International Foundation for Electoral Systems’ Ukraine election support program. In his current role, he writes and edits IFES communications for the international diplomatic, donor and civil society communities.

G. Brown (Advert) launched his book series On Record. Each of the three volumes includes images, interviews and insights in music for the years 1978, 1984 and 1991. The series is published by Colorado Music Experience, a nonprofit focusing on Colorado music history, of which Brown is the director.

Cindy (Cossid) Stern (Jour'79) recently celebrated 10 years with the Chicago Festival of Israeli Cinema, where she serves as executive director. She spent the previous three decades at advertising and marketing agencies in Los Angeles and Chicago, including Frankel & Co./Arc Worldwide, J. Walter Thompson, Euro RSCG and Leo Burnett. During her career, she helped pair Starbucks and United Airlines and develop the USPS ReadyPost boxes. She lives in Lincolnshire, Illinois.

Vicky Collins (Comm) is president of the Denver-based television production company Teletrends. She is an Emmy-winning freelance producer for NBC Network News and works primarily as a field producer and booker for NBC Nightly News,ÌýToday, MSNBC and Dateline NBC. She also produces long-form stories and image-oriented videos for nonprofit organizations. Vicky is the proud mother of two boys: a University of Kansas graduate and a junior at CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business.

Thomas Walek (Jour) is a senior consultant of strategic public relations at Meyer Capital, a marketing agency in New York. He began his career as a financial journalist covering global development at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Thomas is a member of the National Press Club and is on the information advisory board for CMCI. The Pennsylvania native grew up in Connecticut and now lives in New York with his wife, Nobuko, and son, Andrew.

A new book byÌýJohn B. Lane (Jour),ÌýThe Beatin’ Path: A Lyrical Guide to Lucid Evolution,Ìýwon an Independent Publisher IPPY Award in April. He recently read selections from the book, along with a new piece, at a book signing at Tattered Cover book store in Denver. John is also an award-winning instructional designer and a pioneer in online learning.Ìý

Allison (Kracov) West (Comm) was an employment attorney for more than 25 years. She uses her legal experience to deliver training related to harassment prevention, conflict resolution, employment law and other HR-related topics—issues she has discussed on CBS Mornings; O, The Oprah Magazine; and NPR.

Michelle Martin (Jour) serves as a part-time administrator for the Colorado Association of Corporate Counsel, where she produces events, programming and communications for the chapter’s 900 members.

Tim Coy (Advert) has continued his graphic design career with the publication of Cadillac 1970-1979: An Era of American Automotive Opulence, the biggest project he’s ever attempted.

As senior vice president of government affairs for T-Mobile, Kathleen O’Brien Ham (Jour) is the company’s chief public policy advocate and manages all public policy issues before federal and state governments. Previously, she worked for the FederalÌýCommunications Commission in several top policy positions, including deputy chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. Kathleen and her husband live in Arlington, Virginia.

In 2018, Laurie Cantillo (Jour) left NASA’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., to start a job as deputy director of communications and education directorate at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.

After serving 15 years as chancellor,ÌýPamela Shockley-Zalabak (PhDComm)Ìýretired from the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Colorado Springs campus in February. She worked for UCCS for four decades and taught classes in the communication department while serving as chancellor.

Tim Coy (Advert)Ìýwas awarded the Maurice Hendry Award for Journalistic Excellence in 2016 by the Cadillac & LaSalle Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to motorcar restoration and preservation. He has designed and proofread the organization’s international magazine,ÌýThe Self-Starter, since 2004. He continues to operate Ad Type & Design Inc., a firm specializing in graphic design and publishing, founded in 1995. He previously worked in advertising and marketing for theÌýRocky Mountain News, the Denver Newspaper Agency andÌýThe Denver Post.
