Marissa Lammon (PhD, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½) is a popular culture scholar, consultant, and collegiate instructor researching children’s media, with specialization in mediated death. With a BA in psychology, MA in communication, and PhD in media research and practice, her interdisciplinary research combines expertise in child development and cultural analysis to confront the psychological and social implications of animation. Much of Marissa’s pedagogical strategies center on engaged scholarship, encouraging practical application of coursework.

Marissa also serves on the editorial board forÌýThe International Journal of Disney StudiesÌýand has worked as a consultant for media conglomerates including Pixar Animation Studios and Skydance Animation Studios.Ìý
