Catherine Guzelian Bazile (Mus, PolSci), formerly a member of the energy group at Holland & Hart LLP in Denver, has opened a private practice, Summit Energy Law LLC, in Englewood, Colo. The firm will specialize in matters pertaining to oil and gas title and transactional work.

Tucker Hamilton (AeroEngr) and Aaron Frey听(AeroEngr鈥�02; MS鈥�03) are both F-35 test pilots at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Tucker and Aaron are two of a handful of people testing all three variants of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Aaron is a major in the U.S. Marine Corps; Tucker serves in the Air Force. The friends grew up together in Evergreen, Colo., and played basketball on the same middle school team.

Emmy-award winning producer Alexis Martin Woodall (Film) was nominated for a 2017 Emmy for her work on Feud: Bette and Joan. Alexis has won Emmys as a member of producing teams for The Normal Heart and The People v. O.J. Simpson. She and husband Dave recently opened a restaurant, Red Herring, in Eagle Rock, Calif.

Daniel Livesay听(Psych) wrote听Children of Uncertain听Fortune, which delves into听the 18th-century migration听of elite mixed-race individuals from Jamaica to听Great Britain. An assistant听professor at Claremont听McKenna College, he听focuses on early American听and Atlantic history,听examining the intersection听of race, family and slavery听in North America and the听Caribbean.

Juli Rasmussen (Jour鈥�02) helped organize the golf tournament Tiara Rado in Grand Junction in collaboration with the local Rotary and one of CU鈥檚 alumni chapters, Grand Valley Forever Buffs. The tournament raised money for engineering scholarships for Colorado Mesa University and CU Boulder students.

Kaite Barchas Wilson (Phil, Psych) was named Community Leader of the Year in the young professional category by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. Katie is president of The Market Group, Inc., a boutique marketing, public relations and events firm. She is also the founder of the High-Heeled Happy Hours, a women鈥檚 networking event series that honors female business leaders, and raises funds and awareness for local charities. She lives in Purcellville, Virginia, with her husband, three kids, two dogs, two cats and one fish.

After Ryan McMunn (Mktg) and his wife Allie recovered from COVID-19, they knew they had to act. The Tricam Industries CEO utilized his business experience to source hundreds of masks from a Chinese factory that produces ladders for his company. They donated the masks to UC Health Boulder and the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Ryan lives in Denver and also is CEO and founder of BRIC language systems and founder of Leroy Street Capital.听

Writer and assistant professor of politics Ahmed Khanani (IntlAf) serves as co-director of the Center for Social Justice at Earlham College. His book All Politics Are God鈥檚 Politics: Moroccan Islamism and the Sacralization of Democracy was published in January.

In 2004, Melissa Stockwell (Comm) became the first woman to lose a limb in the Iraq War when she lost her leg to an IED during a routine patrol in Iraq. After a long and challenging recovery, Melissa went on to win three paratriathlon world championships and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. Melissa鈥檚 memoir, The Power of Choice: My Journey from Wounded Warrior to World Champion, was published in 2020.

Michael Hake (Mktg) of Erie, Colorado, and Gary Shirman (Soc鈥�80) of Boulder formed Boulder Wealth Advisors, a financial planning and investment management firm.听

Holly Morphew (IntlAf) is CEO and founder of Financial Impact, a financial coaching practice, and author of Simple Wealth. Published in 2021, the book became a No. 1 bestseller in nine out of 10 categories on Amazon.

顿别苍惫别谤鈥檚 Brad Turner (Jour, Mus) is working at Colorado Public Radio making podcasts. As executive producer of CPR鈥檚 Audio Innovations Studio, he released a new podcast, Music Blocks, a five-minute music appreciation podcast designed in collaboration with Colorado educators. The show helps teach music appreciation to middle and high schoolers, featuring contemporary music along with examples from different genres and cultures. 鈥淲e touch on music by Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo, but also Beethoven and John Coltrane,鈥� he wrote. 鈥淓ach installment looks at how artists express a different emotion through music.鈥�

Freelance writer and editor Heather Mundt (MJour鈥�02) published her first book, Colorado Family Outdoor Adventure, in May. The book details more than 60 destination options, sorted geographically and with rankings of difficulty and age-appropriateness. Her two sons are featured throughout the book. Heather thanks Doug Cosper, her favorite CU journalism professor, in her book鈥檚 acknowledgments section.

Executive producer of Colorado Public Radio鈥檚 Audio Innovations Studio, Brad Turner (Jour, Mus鈥�02), contributed to the podcast 鈥淢usic Blocks,鈥� which won the 鈥淏est Podcast for Kids鈥� Ambie award. 鈥淢usic Blocks,鈥� geared for middle and high schoolers, explores how songwriters and composers express emotion through sound.听

Aaron Perry (Ger鈥�02;听MA鈥�02) published his听debut novel, .听The eco-thriller is Colorado-based and includes听scenes from the CU听Boulder campus before听the protagonist makes听a fateful decision. Aaron听is also the co-founder,听executive director and听host of the 听community podcast.听Aaron lives in Boulder.

Four-time Emmy Award听nominee Kevin Wendling听(Psych鈥�02) won his first听national sports Emmy听Award for best Outstanding Technical Team听Event. Kevin has been听an operations producer听for ESPN and ABC since听2003. In the last year, he听has worked on ESPN鈥檚听Monday Night Football,听College Football Saturdays and the College听Football National Championship, Monday Night听Football with Peyton and听Eli, the Women鈥檚 College听World Series, the MLB听All Star Game, NCAA听Conference Championship Basketball, the Little听League World Series and听the Rose Parade.

Khalilah听Louis Caines听(Psych鈥�02) is a professor听of social work at Saint听Leo University in Saint听Leo, Florida. Khalilah听served her community听as a social worker for听over a decade in many听positions, including child听welfare case manager and adoption care听manager. In 2016, she听transitioned to teaching听social work courses at听Saint Leo University,听where she鈥檚 been since.听Caines has a master鈥檚听degree in social work,听numerous certifications听within her field and is听currently working toward听a PhD in public affairs听from the University of听Central Florida.
