Divya E. Vernerey is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the 乐播传媒 Boulder as of Fall 2023. She moved a full building over from the Department of Mathematics at Boulder where she has been teaching since 2007.听 She was also the Director of Undergraduate Research in the Math department, starting a听faculty seminar series (QED: Math Club)听centered around听undergraduate students to foster interactions between the students and faculty. She received a Ph.D. from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL)听 in the Department of Engineering Science and Applied Mathematics in 2004.听 Her research is in numerical analysis and partial differential equations.听
She has won the听Marinus Smith Award in Fall 2017 and Fall 2018.听"The purpose of this award is to identify and recognize CU Boulder faculty, staff, coaches, and administrators who have made a significant impact on the lives of CU Boulder students."
