Maria works in the areas of Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Computational Social Science. Before joining CU Boulder, she was a听postdoctoral researcher at Microsoft Research NYC. Maria听completed her PhD at Purdue University in the Department of Computer Science, and her BS in Computer Science & Engineering at the Universidad Simon Bolivar听in her hometown of Caracas, Venezuela.
