Assistant Teaching Professor • M.A. in Science Writing, Johns Hopkins University 1998
EBIO

Office: Ketchum 1B82

As a writing instructor with EBIO, I focus on helping students deepen their science and scientific communications skills. My central interest is in helping undergraduate students hone their writing and presenting skills, as well as gain experience with real-world genres that typify the professional efforts of scientists. I also enjoy helping graduate students on an individual basis with specific projects and communications skills.

In addition to my teaching background, my professional experiences have ranged from high-stakes strategic communications roles to ground-level scientific editing. I specialize in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) topics: renewable energy; climate change science, vulnerability, and resiliency; environmental science; engineering; and remote-sensing data.
