PhD Student
Brooks Mitchell (she/her) is a PhD student whose work focuses on new media and the literary, cultural, and semiotic implications of evolving technologies of storytelling and communication. She also studies horror and the weird, monsters/monstrosity in literature and culture, and contemporary speculative fiction more broadly. She has an M.A. in Literature from Colorado State University, and a B.A. in Communication and Theatre (Film Studies Emphasis) with a Minor in English from Western Colorado University. Prior to beginning at CU, Brooks taught lower- and upper-division composition & rhetoric as faculty at Colorado State.
