Deadlines are posted on the Office of the Registrar’s website. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ are responsible for knowing and adhering to posted deadlines.Ìý

This petition may only be used for students solely enrolled in the Program in Environmental Design. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ enrolled in multiple programs or colleges must adhere to the deadlines and policies of their primary college of record.Ìý

Submitting the petition does NOT result in automatic approval. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ are expected to keep attending class and submitting work until they have received the official outcome of their petition. Petitions will be accepted until 5 p.m. (MT) on the last day of classes for full session fall and spring classes, or by the withdrawal deadline for any or .Ìý

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ wishing to request a full-term withdrawal should submit an online withdrawal form through the Office of the Registrar instead of a late drop petition. Please work with your advisor should you have specific questions on this process.Ìý 

In and of themselves, the following are not sufficient reasons to drop a class beyond the posted deadline. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ are encouraged to speak with their academic advisor to explore whether Grade Replacement is appropriate and to discuss additional options.Ìý

  • Poor performance in class.Ìý                 
  • GPA protection.Ìý
  • Academic standing/financial aid concerns.Ìý
  • Failure to verify class schedule through Buff Portal.Ìý
  • Failure to monitor waitlist position.Ìý
  • Change of major or program that results in a class no longer being a requirement.Ìý    
  • Failure to attend/participate in class on a regular basis.Ìý
  • Failure to abide by withdrawal deadlines.Ìý
