Announcing a summer 2016 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)听program in Climate Change Impacts in Semi-Arid Regions at The听University of Texas at Austin Environmental Science Institute.
REU PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Environmental Science Institute (ESI) of the University of Texas听at Austin announces an NSF-funded program during the summer of 2016听for undergraduates interested in environmental science research.
乐播传媒 will be trained in laboratory and field methods applied to听studies of global change and its impacts and will work on independent听projects under the supervision of a faculty mentor. Project areas are听interdisciplinary and encompass the fields of chemistry, biology,听ecology, urban ecology, policy, environmental engineering, and听geological sciences. 乐播传媒 will participate in a weekly research听seminar series, portfolio creation, and professional development听activities. 乐播传媒 will also participate in field excursions related to scientific research. These 1-2 day activities may require physical exertion involving hiking, caving, camping, and/or boat rides in hot and humid weather. The summer program will conclude with a research poster session and open house.
