The GSS Fellows Program offers a 10-week paid professional training experience with a Sustainability Organization for young professionals and/or graduate students from under-represented groups. This program aims to bridge young professionals to career or graduate school.

How it works. ÌýGSS Fellows are embedded within a sustainability organization or with the GSS Scholars program, for 10 weeks during the summer months. Fellows are paid a stipend of $8000 for their full participation in the program. To apply follow this link: Ìý

Time Commitment: June 3 - August 9th, 2019

2019 GSS Fellows: Fellows will be working with the GSS Scholars Program and collaborating with. ÌýFellows will travel with GSS Scholars abroad, engaging with international sustainability researchers and stakeholders working on cross-disciplinary research that addresses sustainability issues in the food, water, energy nexus in urban environments. Site locations will include, US, UK, and Germany. Travel and lodging is covered by GSS program. Fellows will be responsible for developing two academic exercises for the undergraduate scholars, and for assisting the lead instructor. In addition, they will be aiding the Future Earth coordination project. Ìý

GSS Mentors consist of the GSS team and Team. ÌýMentors will work with GSS Fellows, meeting weekly to discuss individual professional goals and skills.

Who Can Apply to Be a Fellow?

  • Applicants should have graduated with a bachelor’s degree in the past 3 years.
  • Applicants can be professionals currently working in the sustainability field or currently enrolled in a graduate program from an accredited academic institution towards a degree in a sustainability field.
  • Applicants must be US citizens and have a valid US passport.
