Jens is a fourth-year Ph.D. student from Circle Pines, Minnesota. He was awarded a NASA space technology graduate research opportunity聽(NSTGRO) fellowship to perform research on multi-disciplinary development of advanced aerocapture guidance algorithms for missions to the Ice Giants. He holds a BSc. in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame, where he performed experimental hypersonic aerothermodynamics research. Co-advised by Dr. Iain Boyd.
