Tim Oakes has been awarded a "Seasonal Bird" research exchange fellowship for 180,000 yuan from the Guizhou Province Ministry of Education. Tim will use the money to develop collaborative research projects with faculty and graduate students at Guizhou Nationalities University in Guiyang, where he serves as an adjunct professor. Projects will focus on the development of cultural industries in the province.
