Travel Scholarships Available!

The invites highly motivated bachelor students (semester 4 to 6) from different disciplines to participate in the course which is being held under the umbrella of Climate Change Research.

The Summer School focuses on the following topics: the physical climate system, climate economics and governance and knowledge transfer. It comprises keynote lectures that are held by high-profile scientists; workshops to train and sharpen students’ disciplinary competence; and a simulation exercise of a multilateral climate conference that will be run by the students themselves. A field trip to the high altitude research station Jungfraujoch (3500 m a.s.l.) will provide insights into latest measurement technologies, as well as to the impacts of climate change. ֲý will have the opportunity to experience one of Switzerland’s most spectacular places: the Aletsch – the largest Alpine Glacier.

Three travel scholarships of 1880 CHF (over $2,000 USD) per person are available for students from US-American or Canadian universities, who would like to participate in the summer school. The students do not need to be Canadian or US citizens.ֲý are asked to hand in their application as usual  and to confirm in the application form that they apply for a travel grant. As soon as the selection process is completed, they will be informed whether their application was successful.
