The course will examine emerging great powers, such as China, Russia and India, from an interdisciplinary perspective including each country’s history, political system, society and economy. IAFS 3000-002: Emerging Great Powers counts towards the Political Geography, International Security, Foreign Policy (Functional Area III) requirement for IAFS Majors. The course also counts as the Capstone requirement for IAFS Minors. And not to worry, if you are a major and have already taken IAFS 3000 with a different topic, you can take IAFS 3000 for up to 9 credits (with different topics).
