Become a Community Partner

The Impact Design Initiative is actively seeking community partners to engage with us and our interdisciplinary student projects. We typically work with non-profits and mission-driven businesses. Opportunities for collaboration include identifying one of your everyday challenges to guide聽our students in聽using human-centered design methodologies as they work with you to provide potential solutions. Examples of our past collabotions include YMCA of Northern Colorado, Respect Your Mother Recycling, EyeFlite VR, SHALOM Denver, and Boulder County Transportation. Past design questions include How can we increase retention rates for lifeguards? How can we help students more effectively聽 manage stress? How can we build a better bike trailer for collecting recyclables? How can we reduce food waste and increase sustainability on CU's campus?
