Working at the intersection of marine science, environmental policy, and public outreach, Cassandra Brooks draws on a diversity of disciplines to study and seek solutions to pressing environmental problems. Her efforts helped drive the adoption of the world's largest marine protected area in the Ross Sea, Antarctica.
Her Brooks lab is a diverse community of engaged interdisciplinary scholars who work towards environmental conservation solutions. Their work cross-cuts the natural and social sciences and includes the realms of Antarctic krill modeling, fish ecology, seabirds, climate change, blue carbon, and marine conservation (including protected areas) from local to global scale.

Teaching
