Currently in the PhD program in linguistics at the University of Oregon

I am currently an MA student with the goal of doing research on areas with interface between linguistics and anthropology. I am specifically interested in how language informs and constructs particular ethno-cultural as well as political identities and what it means, from an epistemic and ontological point of view, to lose language. A related concern of my future research endeavors is to help document and revitalize threatened languages while investigating the broader politico-economic dynamics that lead to the endangerment of languages.
