Broadly speaking, my interests concern identity and the role that language plays in its construction, with specific focus on intersectionality, gender, and sexuality, as well as marked and unmarked categories conveyed through language and performance. I hold a bachelor's degree in linguistics and am pursuing a master's degree with the CU Boulder Department of Linguistics. I am also fascinated by the relationship between culture and art (specifically, music), and consequently, how language, culture, and art can influence each other.
