Jonathan Behr (he/him/his) is an MA student in Linguistics. He received his BA in English from the Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2019, with a triple minor in Secondary Education, Linguistics, and Music. A former ELA teacher in the secondary school setting, Jonathan’s work focuses on education policy writing and semantic framing. Specifically, he is interested in how education policy writers have gained bipartisan support from government officials and voters alike, the relationship between politcal rhetoric and public perception of education quality, and the ways education policy has fundamentally changed the public school student experience.
