Department of Linguistics
I am a former MA student in the Department of Linguistics. I received my BA from the University of Chicago, also in Linguistics. My research interests are broadly on how people use language online to construct personae and signal group identity, such as with K-pop fans, and even more broadly the sociolinguistics of the internet. After CU, I am moving on to a PhD in Lingustics at the University of Pittsburgh!
