Research Interests
Dr. Kasprzyk leads group鈥檚 research that addresses how to听generate听new plans for engineering systems,听evaluate听their performance,听visualize听trade-offs between multiple objectives, and听negotiate听robust alternatives. The approach is multidisciplinary, combining tools from computer science, engineering, economics, and the natural sciences. We use multiobjective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs), quantitative environmental models, and high-performance computing in our work. The ultimate goal is to improve the long-term sustainability of water supply and other systems by advancing many objective risk-based design techniques that consider uncertainty and emerging environmental pressures.
