Video/ 3D/ Visual Art

This project explores the future of interactive creativity by designing a new product specifically for artists to produce and perform their music. The exhibition will take the viewer through the process from ideation to the final product and its advertisement.

As people continue to gain unprecedented access to music production tools, replacing instruments with digital representations has pushed artists towards the yearning for a more tactile, personal experience when creating their music. With Apple releasing a live-looping feature to Logic Pro, it seemed to be a match made in heaven. As Apple continues to set trends year after year, removing such a product could introduce a whole new subset of people to new ways of experiencing and creating music. After spending the last five years of my life as a musician performing live electronic music, this project was a way to “flex” new creative muscles while remaining in an environment I know well. This project follows my process from imagination to modeling, animating, and finally, compositing the final video.
