Whether communicating with others, navigating our environment, or engaging with technology, listening plays a crucial role. By developing a better understanding of listening as an embodied process, we can become more attuned to the world around us. This involves recognizing the complex, multi-dimensional nature of listening as an art that we can improve upon and acknowledging the multi-sensory, embodied experience of listening that can occur even in silence. Furthermore, we will explore how listening is embedded in soundscapes, shaped by a blend of cultures, human activity, and the living and physical worlds beyond human existence.
