Memoria - Dylan Wilk

Virtual Reality

A virtual reality soundscape set in the creator’s childhood home. Explore the house, interact with objects, and listen to the unique sounds from the various photos placed around the house.

Memoria

Memoria is a soundscape that is being made to become a horror-mystery game. In its current state, there is little mystery with hints of horror that lurk behind the seemingly average household living room and kitchen. It’s themed around memory and the odd traumas behind those often clear or banal recollections. While also examining how the environment, specifically in the early stages of life, shape and affect us. As the user walks around the VR environment, sounds from the photos can be heard. Some of these sounds may include real-life audio from the creator’s family about their memories of the place. Other sounds will consist of various clips of media that relate to memories of the creator from this home—hopefully, stoking memories for the user as well. There is currently no endpoint to this VR scene. The user can leave when they feel they have explored and experienced everything they’ve wanted to.
