This audiovisual work, titled Mirage of Terrain, consists of an original musical composition and visual piece. The composition is a work that portrays how acoustic and electronic instruments can coincide effortlessly and is a general representation of how music is composed, orchestrated, and digitized in our modern age. With that said, the overarching message relates to admiring and respecting the beauty of nature within our world and the journey that it may take us on. This is also explained in the imagery chosen using different terrains such as deserts, snow, and beaches. These were then formatted into kaleidoscopes to give an abstract and unique feel that also connects to the digitization of natural and organic elements. The piece is skillful and intentional with the irony of its message in that the digital represents and supports natural, acoustic, and organic elements.
