Moments in Sport at CU Boulder

Since the spring of 2020, I began shooting photography at local Major League Baseball games. This grew into a hobby which then grew into what is now the main subject for my senior capstone project. I took it upon myself to photographically indulge in a wide variety of our university's NCAA sports teams as well as club sports teams in an effort to display my unique process for creating the images in this project. I want viewers to be able to gain my perspective of each and every event that was shot and present them as a group of timeless photographic art pieces. A certain knowledge comes with taking photographs and it was important to always be ready for action at both ends of the floor, field, court, and ice sheet. All sports displayed required basic knowledge of what was going to happen, when, and how fast it would happen.

The Colorado Buffaloes would go onto win this hockey game at the CU Recreation Center after dropping three games on their road trip to Arizona. Coach Brent Tollar had a lot of praise for his freshmen goaltender.

CU Men's Club Water Polo player shoots on goal during a matchup against the University of Denver at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center. This goal opened up the scoring for a busy evening of games. #13 would go on to pot three more goals in the match while CU would carry on to win 3 of 4 in their Saturday slate.
Freshmen Brenden Rice lines up goal-to-go against Oregon State November 6, 2021. Later in this drive, CU would open up the scoring setting up a wild OT thriller into the late night at Folsom field. This was the team's turning point in their season.

Jenna Ewert stood out as the fierce leader of her squad playing every set and pumping upm her teammates. The Buffaloes would eventually fall short of a win but were playing strong moving towards the end of their 2021 season
