“Running Red Lights” is an animatic storyboard set to the song of the same name by The Avalanches featuring Rivers Cuomo and Pink Siifu. It tells the story of Pearl, grieving the loss of their close friend Faith. That is, until Faith appears to them in the form of a spirit, to which Pearl seeks out to chase and finally see her again. Along the way, another friend of Faith, Leslie, also sees Faith’s spirit, but instead of chasing after her, embraces her and allows her to roam free. Pearl hasn’t let go of Faith’s memory yet, while Leslie has. As long as Pearl continues to latch on to Faith’s spirit, that spirit will never find rest…
