Solus is a short film about a man surviving in isolation. Seemingly contempt, Solus is living self sufficiently in this post-apocalyptic scenario. His only connection to humanity is through his radio but after an incident, Solus' isolation manifests into insanity.

Inspired by the feelings and emotions behind isolation from the Covid 19 pandemic, Solus is a cautionary tale shedding light on the unnatural effects isolation has on the human psyche. Solus is a fictional short film that follows a survivor as he lives self-sufficiently in a post-apocalyptic scenario. Based in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the protagonist must survive by taking advantage of natural resources. Although he is contempt in his lifestyle, after losing his radio and connection to humanity, he spirals into insanity. Seasons change, survival becomes more challenging and mistakes are made. The film concludes with an internal conversation between the protagonist and a manifestation of his conscience. The internal voice encourages the protagonist to rejoin the new colonies that are forming. The film concludes without a resolution to let the viewer use their imagination and think about what may have happened.
