Andrew Lang (1844-1912) was a Scottish writer and scholar who edited and published hundreds of fairy tales from around the world in his famous colored fairy book series (The Blue Fairy Book, The Pink Fairy Book, etc.). These books, along with many of his other children's texts, were very popular in the early 20th century and many are still printed today.
