FeodorÌýRojankovsky
Feodor Stepanovich Rojankovsky (1891-1970) was a Russian émigré illustrator, known for numerous illustration genres, such as depictions of war, erotica, and children's books. Born in the Russian Empire in what is nowÌýLatvia, Rojankovsky moved often, and fought for theÌýImperial Russian Army during World War I. In 1919Ìýhe was conscripted by the White Army and was soonÌýa prisoner of war in Poland. His first known illustrations came out of this period and depicted the horrors of battle. In the rise of the Soviet Union, Rojankovsky became a stateless person and moved to France to continue developing his art before moving to the U.S., where he continued illustrating.
