Sidney D'Mello, iSAT鈥檚 Principal Investigator, presented "From Autonomy to Synergy: Toward AI that Works 鈥渨ith鈥� rather than 鈥渇or鈥� Humans" at the annual meeting of the Association for Psychological Sciences (APS) in Chicago. In his talk, he argued for a vision for AI, going beyond a cold, autonomous agent working for humans to a collaborative partner working with humans. He grounded these ideas in the context of iSAT by discussing our overall vision, commitment to the responsible innovation framework, concrete actions taken to implement the framework including the learning futures workshops, design sprints, conjecture mappings, and results from these activities. He also showed the Level 1 AI Partner demo video.
