Virtual Donation Option for CU Blood Donors!

Virtual Blood Donation
With all of the changes we have experienced during the pandemic, hosting a blood drive on-campus is not feasible for us. However, we are still committed to the mission of saving lives through blood donation, so we are currently hosting virtual blood drives.

Participating in the virtual blood drive is easy. For us to track all of the donations at our CU Boulder virtual blood drives, you need to follow these steps:

  1. for the virtual blood drive to get your emailed invitation to schedule your appointment.
  2. When your email arrives, click “Schedule Now” to book your appointment at any convenient blood donation location using the same email address you used to sign up. This is important because it helps Vitalant connect your donation to our organization’s virtual blood drive*.
  3. Prepare for your donation by eating a healthy meal and drinking plenty of water. Remember to bring a photo ID with you.
  4. Give blood, transform lives!

*When you arrive at your blood donation appointment be sure to mention that you are donating for the CU Boulder Staff Council Blood Drive, code 0248. This will help us track our CU Boulder impact and will let the Vitalant team know to give you any CU donor promotions (if there is one available at that time).
