The School of Law at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ will sponsor a day-long symposium titled Crime is Not the Problem: Lethal Violence in America.
The forum will be from 8:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, in the Fleming Law Building. The content was inspired by a book by the same name written by Franklin Zimring and Gordon Hawkins.
The public is invited to register for the symposium, which is $65 prior to Feb. 14 and $75 thereafter, by calling Debra Sparn at 492-6145.
Speakers will address social and psychological issues related to crime and violence and programs aimed at violence prevention.

Professor Darnell Hawkins, University of Illinois department of African-American Studies;
Professor Joan McCord, Temple University department of criminal justice;
Colorado Attorney General Gale Norton;
Professor David Garland, New York University School of Law;
Professor Delbert Elliott, CU Institute of Behavioral Science;
Dr. Lee N. Robins, Washington University Medical School, psychiatry.
The Law Review will publish a symposium issue composed of articles written by program speakers, to be available in the summer.
