The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder WomenÂ’s Center awarded four scholarships to dedicated female students who showed high academic merit.

Applications for the Center for Education and Career Transition Scholarships were evaluated on the basis of financial need and academic performance. Recipients for the fall 1998 semester are:

Graduate Award

o Annie Tregouet of Niwot received $600. She is a graduate student in the department of French and Italian languages. After graduation Tregouet would like to teach French literature, civilization and cinema in a small liberal arts college.

Undergraduate Awards

o Natalya Dikovitskaya of Boulder received $600. She is a senior majoring in computer science in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. After graduation Dikovitskaya hopes to find a job as a software engineer.

o Sandy Felkey of Boulder received $600. She is a senior majoring in psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences. Felkey plans to attend graduate school to pursue a masterÂ’s degree in social work and a career as a "patient advocate" for the elderly in nursing homes.

Student Over 30 Award

o Julie Burland of Boulder received $600. She is a senior majoring in environmental engineering in the department of civil, environmental and architectural engineering. Burland would like to complete a masterÂ’s degree in environmental engineering.
