The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder is hosting a news conference Monday, Sept. 21, at 10:30 a.m. in conjunction with the City of Boulder to announce several major safety improvements and pending improvements on campus and in Boulder. A Sunflower Safety logo to appear on safety educational materials also will be introduced. Julie and Harold Chase, parents of CU student Susannah Chase who was murdered near her Boulder home last December, will attend. Susannah's brother, Douglas Chase, and sister Christy Chase also will attend.

Ron Stump, associate vice chancellor for student affairs, will host the news conference, including remarks by CU Police Chief Jim Fadenrecht and by a representative of the Chase family.

The news conference will be on the east side of Varsity Pond, directly east of Koenig Alumni Center, adjacent to one of the campus's emergency callboxes. In case of bad weather, the event will be held at Koenig Alumni Center at the southwest corner of University Avenue and Broadway.

Parking for both locations is along University Avenue or in the Koenig Alumni Center parking lot.
