WHO: Campus volunteers are participating in community service projects as a part of Make A Difference Week, a nationwide movement to get citizens involved in community service. Representatives come from a variety of departments across campus.

WHAT: Volunteers will board CU shuttles on campus to go to the Habitat for Humanity site in North Boulder. They will help with building projects throughout the day.

WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 20, and Friday, Oct. 22.

WHERE: Shuttles leave from the UMC on Euclid Avenue at 8:30 a.m. each day. The building site is on 22nd Street, just off Violet. Take 28th Street north, go past Jay Road to Violet. Turn left on Violet and left on 22nd Street. The Habitat site is clearly marked.

WHY: CU-Boulder coordinates a program called "CU in the Community," an ongoing effort to further involve faculty, staff and students in community projects. Throughout the fall semester a number of programs that support the community are underway. They include the Habitat for Humanity project and a campus-wide drive for winter coats and outerwear, all non-perishable food and baby supplies.
