Note to Editors: In some cases, press members can arrange to meet with the business leaders prior to or following their lectures.

The postmaster general and chief executive officer of the United States Postal Service, William J. Henderson, will speak to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder students on Jan. 18.

Henderson will speak from 3:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in room 100 of the Math Building.

HendersonÂ’s leadership has helped USPS set new service milestones with the greatest service and overall performance in its existence. USPS was also rated No. 1 among all federal agencies in customer service by a poll of the American public while Henderson has been in office. He launched todayÂ’s more customer-focused approach to the communications market, achieving a record net income for USPS.

As one of the speakers for the College of BusinessÂ’ popular Profiles in American Enterprise course, Henderson will discuss his 27-year career with USPS. USPS is the second-oldest federal government agency and the largest postal system in the world. It is also the nationÂ’s largest civilian employer with more than 800,000 employees.

John Hess, the professor responsible for the course, invites top executives to his class each semester to share their experiences. "ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ listen to lectures by highly successful CEOs or entrepreneurs and learn about the intricacies of ‘real worldÂ’ business," said Hess. In addition to the executives' lectures, students attend weekly recitation sections led by former Profiles students.
