Fiske Planetarium at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder will present "Searching for Distant Worlds," a program chronicling the recent discovery of several new planets beyond our solar system, on Sept. 29 and Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

More than 30 planets -- outnumbering the known planets within our solar system -- have been discovered since fall 1995 when the first evidence of another planet orbiting a sunlike star was detected. "Searching for Distant Worlds" will use visual effects to demonstrate the scientific principles behind the discoveries and drawings will illustrate what these distant worlds might look like. The program is intended for eighth-graders to adults.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for seniors and children and go on sale at 7 p.m. the night of the show. Fiske Planetarium is located at Regent Drive and Kittredge Loop Drive on the CU-Boulder campus.
