Joseph Juhasz, professor of architecture and environmental design at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder, has been named president-elect of the population and environmental division of the American Psychological Association.
Juhasz will begin serving a one-year term as president in August.
The APA division, also known as Division 34, includes about 400 members studying the psychology of natural and constructed environments, as well as population psychology.
Juhasz, a member of the CU-Boulder faculty since 1974, is an environmental psychologist who is known for analyzing office decor and how workers' choices reflect their personalities. He was named a fellow of the APA in 1988.
The College of Architecture and Planning at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½'s Boulder and Denver campuses prepares students for careers in architecture, planning, landscape architecture, urban design and other design and planning-related fields. The college offers the only undergraduate and graduate education in these fields in the state of Colorado.
