Several opportunities are available for STEM instructors and faculty through TRESTLE (Transforming Education, Stimulating Teaching and Learning Excellence) -- a seven-institution NSF-funded grant to scale up educational improvements.

Information on all programs at our website:

  1. TRESTLE mini seed grants ($1,000, deadline rolling)
Mini-grants are intended to support the mission of increasing the use of evidence-based teaching practices in STEM departments. Awards are up to $1000, with an average of 2 awards available per semester.
  2. TRESTLE “Type II” course transformation awards ($10,000, deadline Oct. 1)
Intended for faculty with existing expertise in course transformation, these Type II grants support course development or renovation work, including assessment, active-learning, and other evidence-based practice. We are especially interested in projects with potential to engage faculty across the department.
  3. Educational advisors.
If you need quick help in STEM teaching, the CSL educational advisor program offers personalized assistance with a variety of topics specific to teaching in STEM from individuals with professional expertise in a variety of areas. See our website for the extensive list of advisors.
