Looking for an alternative to large lecture courses? Want to fulfill a degree requirement by discussing superpowers, ghosts, Lord of the Rings听or revolution? It's not too late to add a course or adjust your spring schedule. All freshmen and sophomores are invited to take a First-Year Seminar class this spring semester.听
Limited to 19 students, these courses provide an excellent opportunity to get to work closely with faculty, meet peers with similar interests and work with upper-division student mentors. The First-Year Seminar series approaches critical thinking and academic curriculum on a completely new level. We asked our inventive professors to develop courses that focus on unusual topics (e.g., Pink Floyd or Star Wars)听and structure those topics to meet our rigorous academic standards.
